OPETH Forced To Cancel Helsinki Show
December 15, 2008Swedish progressive metallers OPETH have been forced to cancel tonight's (Monday, December 15) concert in Helsinki, Finland due to guitarist/vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt contracting laryngitis. According to a posting on the band's web site, "The show will be rescheduled as soon as he's back on his feet. As for now, we're hoping we can go ahead with the Stockholm shows [December 17-18 at Debaser Medis] as scheduled."

OPETH's latest video for "Burden" received its online premiere on November 4. While Danish director Lasse Hoile (DREAM THEATER, PORCUPINE TREE, STEVEN WILSON) shot and directed the storyline in Denmark, OPETH filmed the band performance at the Vogue theater in Vancouver, Canada.
"The Roundhouse Tapes", the long-awaited new DVD from OPETH, was released in Europe on Peaceville Records on October 27 (UK - November 10, USA - November 11).
